I really do love knitting socks. They’re relatively quick, I can try out new patterns, I love working with hand painted yarns, and they’re so portable. I have a couple of grandchildren, that have asked me to knit socks for them. One of them just had a birthday on the first of January, and she asked for socks. So I knit knee-highs, such a good choice considering the cold weather we’ve been having. I used a handpainted yarn from my friend Liz.
Just great to work with, and feels lovely and soft after washing. The pattern is from the Vogue Knitting Stitchionary called foliage lace, which I ran up the front and the back of the sock. Really pleased with the result.
